All membership applications to the Singapore Sri Lanka Business Association (“SLBA”) will be reviewed for qualification and recommended for approval by the SLBA Executive Committee.
The SLBA Executive Committee has at its discretion, the right to refuse membership.
Upon approval by the SLBA Executive Committee and payment of the requisite fees, the applicant becomes a SLBA member.
In such event that your membership is approved you shall be required to make payment within 7 working days (working days in Singapore).
As an individual member you are entitled to 1 vote at the Annual General Meeting of the SLBA, and as a corporate member the nominated authorised representative is entitled to 1 vote on behalf of the said corporate member.
The SLBA Executive Committee reserves the right to withdraw membership at any time at its discretion and for any reason including but not limited to; failure to pay membership fees that are due and owing, acting in such a manner as to bring SLBA into disrepute, or any actions unbecoming of a member of a corporate organisation.
As a member of the SLBA, you maybe privy to confidential information pertaining to the SLBA or any organisation it partners with. As a result, you agree to maintain confidentiality of all such information and ensure at all times the said information is not shared within any unauthorised party or used in such a manner as to directly or indirectly bring you personal benefit/gain whether monetary or otherwise.
In the event any SLBA member attends events, seminars, discussions etc. as a member/nominee of the SLBA, the said individual is required and agrees to ensure their presence is recorded as a member of the SLBA and they represent the interests of the SLBA during their attendance.
The SLBA takes privacy seriously. Therefore when you submit your membership application, we require you to agree that the SLBA may collect, use, and disclose your personal data provided in the application form, or as disclosed to us from time to time as a result of your membership, for the following purposes in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (As amended):
Processing of your membership application; and Administration of your membership with our organization, which includes at a minimum notifying you of your membership obligations, communicating our events and activities and those events and activities of our partners, to you via e-mail.

The SLBA Executive Committee reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
